Hi all,

My fantastic Giant Expression XL was stolen the weekend before last from Tate Britain at Millbank.

I'm trying to find the same model as a replacement, Its a hybrid bike and was really good to ride around town and also a little off road.

The old bike was silver with a torn saddle If anyone sees it about please get in contact through these forums.

Or more realisticly if anyone can suggest a similar replacemnt model please drop me a line her as well

many thanks

 Greg

Well someone must have an opinion on a replacement model.

Its not the trendiest of bikes but it worked really well?

Hi Greg,

Can't say I've ever come across one of these bikes so I can't recommend a direct replacement, but do you have any idea of what budget you'll have to replace it? That may help tertying to identify something suitable for you.

The budget is between £150 - £300 not too fussed if its a new bike or second hand.

The Expression comes with rack mud guards etc and was a good ride through london and the suburbs.

I'm sure that all of the manufacturers have a similar model range, but like anything there are good and not so good models and I'm trying to get some info from you experienced guys before I splash the cash.

Thanks for your reply

 Greg

Timmy,

Thats a good looking bike, what don't you have mudguards and a rack on it?

I still the think the Giant looked "better"

What sort of reputation does Kona have?

Have you considered something like the Dawes Kalahari or if you're after something a bit more 'classic' the Dawes Graduate?

I have to say I really like the look of the Graduate for round town commuting.

Although there a re a lot of hybrids on the market there don't appear to be many that come with guards & rack fitted as standard.

What reputation do Kona have?

They're a bit like apple, think they are cooler than they are.
