............stop. Now. Before someone hurts me.

Why not, you will be able to indicate with your legs standing up on the opposite pedal.

I take it you are on about bikes and not these

What are these bikes you speak of?

I don't see the point in getting a fixie for road use, I see it as quite dangerous to be honest...I am however, looking for a very cheap road bike to make as a single speed mile muncher...tell you what they're not common!

Shame mine would be too big for you BHB, the Flyer is in need of a new home.

Too expensive! I'm talking £50 second hand bike...respray it, rebuild it, maybe replace the wheels, new saddle, bars and chainset. That kind of thing.

I've scoured all the tips for a road bike, looked in all the ads...nothing!
By the time you have done all that would it not be just as cheep to spend 200-300 on a decent second hand bike, that needs no immediate work doing.

That would be the way I would go too MSP.  But I think BHB craves the satisfaction of creation.

Ooh I like that last sentence!

And all my bikes get resprayed white anyway...so they all get rebuilt.

Still i'm off to ebay...because Ideally I'd like a road bike with an Aheadset rather than quill as i really like the look of bladed carbon forks

Mr B, how big is your flyer, would it be suitable for a 6ft love god or someone such as myself? And how much do you want for it?

You can leave the brakes on, you know. Although my rear one appears to have siezed from lack of use

My Flyer is a 56cm, I am 5ft 10, so it may be a little small for you DK.
I'll give you a couple of quid for it

Blimey, that's some budget - mine was half that

Took about a week to find it scouring Gumtree & Friday Ads 2 or 3 times a day.

I really struggled on Gumtree and the like for a racer.  Thought everyone and his dog would have one owt back not being used. It appears not.

I'm 5'11 Mr B btw, and am generous with my collection of whisky ...

I don't drink whisky, it makes me vomit   I can't handle more than 3 pints of domestic strength lager these days.

If you are interested in the bike drop me a line mark.pearson AT madison.co.uk

Yep, I found a Trek Antelope down the tip for a tenner but trying to find a racing bike is like looking for rocking horse shit.
