I'm off next Sunday Dave. How about doing jacobs in reverse for something different? Only 16 mile but some tough bastard climbs that way round, though there are some sweet tech descents too such as the long section of rock steps along rushup edge, then some more towards the river crossing bit, finishing with jacobs itself, steeeeep and then looooose!!

Is that Dan ? Paul E was riding Wharncliffe on a 4" 4x bike yesterday... bloody fast on it too. Actually that was a pretty nice bike he had. It was very slack, like a DH bike with 4" travel. He was running pikes on the front but still had a 66 degree head angle, low BB pretty long bike.

yeah paul was shifting (not that i got to see him after the first corner), just shows that any surface is ridable on any bike if you have the skills/balls to make it work, sadly i have neither of these when it comes to wharncliffe, oh well at least i now know the problem is me and not the bike that doesnt like it up there, personnally i want to concentrate spending hours in the saddle on tough xc rides improving my fitness and stamina

its gonna take a few days to spray si, managed to degrease and prime it yesterday, leaving it 4 a few days now, rub down then first coat of paint tomo night, second on tues and finally laquered later in the week after the decals are applied, its either gonna look brilliant or shite i guess
