Crikey i'd forgot about that program, twas well weird, might have to find a dvd of it and see if it makes any more sense now that i'm all grown up lol.
Popstar - 3rd language fair play, English is my first (and only) language and i allway's make grammatical errors, so don't worry about it m8
Nah...I've asked this question regularly believe me!
Despite the claims of all the TV clinics it's just not stable, my optician suggested a respected clinic in London, run by proper doctors not some lazer operaring quacks and they simply said with that prescription we wouldn't do it, it could leave the eye dangerously weak and the chances are you would need to wear glasses anyway even if they were of reduced strength...just stick to contact lenses (it would be 15 years before I broke even in the money I spent on glasses and contact after the surgery costs)
You're right about the cornea having to be a certain thickness so the required shape can be lasered away. Maybe they didn't think you had enough cornea to work with?
When it's really dark my irises open wider than the lasered bit which gives some interesting effects! Nothing too drastic mind.
I know how you feel about the specs, it's bloody scary without'em. If someone ever moved mine I was screwed!
