Definately ditto what b r says.

Cathy take some time to have a think first. You could end up spending £500 ish plus quid on Forks, Disc Brake Kit, Wheels, Hubs, plus you may have to pay some labour charges to fit all that if you can't do it yourself. You may want to think about PXing your bike for a new one that's already built with some nice kit on it, maybe like the Cannondale SL3 Trail Feminine or male version of the same.

I'm just about in simular situation as you with my GF, we're just about to get the SL2 for her.

After riding Toras for some time now, I hate them. Though for the price I cannot think of anything better. Mind you, I am comparing them to my other forks which cost 4 times the price.

I have two sets of forks in good condition
marzocchi bomber 2002 which i think has 110mm travel. 193mm steerer tube.
rock shox pilot air SL 110mm travel. 195mm steerer tube.

Both in Black, both have disc and "v" brake fixings and both are air fork for fine tuning to suit weight etc.

let me know if your interested, could be a cheap way back on the bike.

Cheers Phil
