Apparently all babies look like their dads at birth so the father doesn't reject them.  Then as they get older they startto resemble both parents.  Baby Bump looked like me at birth, she was bald and dribbling.

I assume it was a natural birth?  Did you go down the business end?  Ms Bump had to have an emergency c-section so I missed all of that.

her waters broke in the pub!!!!!!! we had just been for a meal (two weeks early!!!) We went to the hospital and then they said yeah she ws not ready and could be a day so sent me home at 23:30. Then she called at 03:00 to say I had better come down. Baby born naturally (weighing 2.9kg) at 05:03. All was in order, I was there throughout!!!

Now is the process of getting the baby and mother to agree on how best to breastfeed - I think the baby will have her own way!!!!!

Congratulations Flap!

Hope you are all well and the next few months don't wear you out too much or keep you off your bike completely!

She'll have you wrapped round her little finger in 4-5 years' time.....

the problem with welsh names here is that NOBODY would be able to pronounce them. We already have three languages and then if you count in the english as well!!!!!!

If any of you guys have watched a ventuse delivery of a baby before you will join me in saying it is the most brutal and scary thing i have ever witnessed in my entire life.

Baby getting into trouble

Wife knackered, swearing and helpless

Midwives who didnt know what the hell to do

Then some indian bloke walks in fits a suction cap and tow rope to the babies head, cuts your wifes privates to bits then yanks out your baby.  They then have to do all the breathing stuff to jump start the baby.

I was pooing myself

Jeebus Hobo, only just had me breakfast!

Congrats FLaPs, in a years time you'll be like me - swearing at all those inconsiderate barstids launching Exocet fireworks while the one year old's trying to get to sleep .

Shouldn't bother you - your's will be awake every 30 minutes anyway

That does all sound terrifying.  I thought having your partner cut open across the stomach and the baby lifted out was nasty but from the sounds of it she got away lightly.

Many Congrats FLaP....your life will never be the same again!

Reminds me when my first daughter was born, the waters went at 4am......6 weeks early! Yikes!!!  Still it all worked out and I too blubbed like a baby!

Enjoy it cos they grow up so quick......she is in the 6th form now.  Where did those years go....

It was bad but completely worth it lads.

I was showing my wife all my scars last night.  I have quite a few so was being all manly.  She just replied that she had given birth to two children and immediately shut me up.

Have any of you guys had a close look at the placenta?  Gulp!
