I know it's f-f-freezin' out there, but is there anyone in the Largs (Scotland)
area who is willing to go out at night or the weekends for a bit of winter
training? Nothing complicated, just go out and keep the wheels spinning.

I know a guy in Largs but he stopped the MTBing a few years back - I don't suppose you were one of the guys I spoke to at the Viking Fest last August? I was doing the fireworks and 2 MTBers came by and we started chatting - was just before the National Champs...

The 2 guys did say there was some really good riding along the sort of ridge at the back of Largs towards Glasgow - they said they headed to the power station and then turned up somewhere and headed back towards Largs via the ridge that you see when standing at the Pencil.
Not that its going to help your training but maybe worth a visit if you haven't already.
