Bye Bye everyone, I'm of to the sunny lakes for a weeks holiday - any suggested routes ? If you were going for a week what routes would you pick and why?
Biketreks in Ambleside, Keswick Mountain Bikes and Wheelbase in Staveley will all have a selection of route maps to buy for a few quid. They may even mark up an OS for you if you ask nicely.
Ones I would include would be the Borodale bash, Iron Keld route, Skiddaw Round, Garburn Pass, Walna Scar(for a big day out) and numerous link up routes around grizedale using parts of the North face trail.
Living in Penrith I tend to stay around the North lakes but there are limitless options.
