The year was 1998 and the month was May when nine students and two teachers from Priestlands School left Lymington on bicycles bound for Lands End.

The trip was a gruelling slog that took just over three days, riding around 90 miles a day. Needless to say it was a huge success, and thanks to support from the local community, raised more than £2,000 for local charities.

Ten years on, and to prove to ourselves that we can still do it, and to raise money for charity again, all 11 riders are reuniting to take on the Lymington to Lands End challenge again over the same weekend in May.

We are coming from all over the globe to ride – some are coming back from France, and one friend is coming back from the Caribbean just to be part of the trip. We're all a lot older, a bit heavier and not quite as agile - but we're set on completing the trip.

The charity we have chosen to ride for is the Jubilee Sailing Trust, a Southampton-based charity which helps disabled people go sailing. They do brilliant work, and it's a charity close to our hearts. check them out at www.jst.org.uk

If you think you could support our challenge, even if it's just a few quid, please dig deep and sponsor us online.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Jubilee Sailing Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor us now! www.justgiving.com/lymingtontolandsend Just £1.00 makes a huge difference!!!

Many thanks for your support.

Mission Complete. 263.5 miles or the hardest riding i have ever done. A 6 mile accent non stop, thick mist, pouring rain, boiling sunshine nearly being hit by a car that swerved to miss me and hit a coach instead. Howling gale force winds from the Atlantic. But did i enjoy it?? Hell YES!!!

Would i do it again??

 No Chance!!!!!!!
