Am thinking of planning a trip to the Southern Lowlands to take in all of the 7Stanes trails. Being the type of rider who will tackle all the red routes (and possibly some black) which order would you tackle the centres in leading to a crescendo of riding wonderfulness?

Day 1

Tress Black & Red

Day 2 (travel from Inners after Traquair down to Dumfries)

Traquair XC & Ae

Day 3

Dalbeattie & Mabie

Day 4

Kirroughtree

Day 5 (on the way home)

Newcasrtleton

Or.... if you are coming from the West side via A76 start 1)... Kirry;... 2)...followed by Dalbeattie & Mabie. 3)....Then Drumlanrig & Ae. 4)...Then over to Kielder and Newcastleton. 5)....finaly drive up to Inners & GT.

From Dumfries;

Kirry = 1hr drive

Kielder = 1hr drive

Gt & Inners = 1.5hr drive

Mabie & Ae = 1/2hr drive

Drum = 3/4hr drive

D`beattie = 1/2-3/4hr drive

Check stanes web site for mid week closures @ Ae. Not worth bothering if so. call Robin the Ranger on the number on the site for latest news.
