An update, of sorts
Basically, i found out that i was doing the race yesterday. i had to goto work, and after work i checked the train times. the closest i could get was merthyr tydfil (and was the last train)
i had 40 minutes to pack and get to the train station, hence forgetting everything.
when i get to merthyr, all was going well, following the taff trail towards brecon.... unfortunately something went wrong, involving shivering, vomiting and other such niceness, especially when in the brecons at 2am...
I managed to set up "camp" made from my waterproofs draped over a stick, and put on all my clothes and roughed it for the night, i was feeling better in the morning, but decided not to risk it.
but yeah, should you decide to SS from merthyr tydfil to builth wells, from midnight, wearing a fully laden bergan, my advice is don't.
Shame really, as i was up for doing the transwales!
