ahh, that would explain things. I have a slightly more sedate riding pace and style so I should avoid a similar fate. I nearly hit a dog at 55kph last year coming off the back of Skiddaw back down into Mungrisdale - scared me witless, bloody thing ran out at me from a farm. Ground all the knobbly bits off my tyres sliding sideways down the road. I hate dogs.
