No need to be nervous thinking it will be sticky it is sticky . There will of course be the usual bits of road section and some rocky bridleway too but the open fell is one giant sponge at the minute. Mud x's and trailrakers will be order of the day.

Count me out. Think i will go for a walk

I'm only doing it because I can bike to the start line from the house, be rude not to really seeing as I haven't made it to any of the others. I may well give the sportive a miss on the saturday though if its biblical rain.

Accomodation booked from Friday so we're definitely going. If it's lashing down on Sunday there might be a re-think...

Wetheriggs Pottery is nice for a Sunday visit, just down the road from Lowther with a very good Cafe. The Queens head at Askham would also be a nice place to spend Sunday . Getting muddy is the only other option, its hammering it down outside my office window at the moment. Where are you stopping Timmy?

Pooley Bridge B&B - 2 or 3 pubs close by apparently - I'll keep myself occupied
Timmy, are you doing it with old man Brian? the event that is.
Yes Karl, Brian is transforming into a marathon racer for the day
S'ok, I spoke to him last night, he should do the 100km I reckon. I can't make it unfortunately, plus I'm not fit enough to do the 100km at the moment, next year though. Good luck.
