Thought I'd seen a post somewhere recently, about a trail closure in the Clwyds. Can't find any mention of it just now. Any information about this, please? Is it re-open? Or did I imagine the whole thing?

Yep the high level forest track is closed - more here. I did mention it on SC and Tortoise/Jen already knew about it. Have fun in the mud on sunday
It's the fireroad thru the Moel Famau forest that you follow on the outward bound leg of on the route Lou posted. The fireroad is closed about here >>

You can just use the inward bound leg of that route thru the forest in reverse instead, which will bring you out lower down by Brithdir and you'll just have a bit more of a climb if you are going up around Ffrith Mountain.

closed until june 2009 as well....

used this route for a sunday ride over the new year period; no forestry plant around so I rode down to the section where the works are taking place - about 50m of the fire road is being used to stack the recently felled trees, and is very difficult to get past - walked around the fire road with the bike on my shoulder but its not really recommended as the ground is very steep and very overgrown with brambles/gorse - cut my legs to pieces.....
