Hi, I have a nice dilema.

I am doing the PDS this year and am needing some bike advice from those who have done it.

Should I ride my GT DHi , or should I ride my  Mondraker Foxy?

I live in the Alps and ride a lot so fitness and experience is not a problem I just want to know what to expect from the trails and the climbs. We are starting from Avoriaz so the climb will be the last thing we do so not worried about timing.

The DHi  is a pig on flats and tight single track but great on proper DH, the Foxy is a great all day ride but not sure it is up to 75 km of DH.

I am thinking of upgrading the Foxy with the brakes and wider higher bars from the DHi as a compromise.

Any ideas?

There are not only flat sections, there are climbs too. Approx 15K of the 75 k is climbing so definately the long tavel xc bike. I am using a 160mm travel bike this year, I found I was underbiked on a 130mm travel bike on the passportes trails last year.
