My hayes hfx discs are now warped and I was wondering if I can use shimano discs instead?Reason being I`ve just bought a set of SLX brakes from Merlin and they are f**kn ACE-No wobble/rubbing etc just smooth controlled powerful modulation.As I tend to swap wheels frequently between bikes would the rotors work with the Hayes calipers without shredding the Hayes pads too.I don`t particularly want to use Hayes discs again as I`ve warped about 4 sets so far and I`m only doing the odd red route these days.
As long as the rotors are the same diameter then there shouldn't be an issue. Even if there's a difference in thickness it should only be minor & not affect the brakes working.
