Along with the long promised route sharing section.

I don't think it's ever been actually promised. I think we're looking for someone to sponsor it. Interested?

The one on Outdoorsmagic still works fine though doesn't it?

I like the fact that it always gives route times based on average walking speeds - makes me feel sooooo much quicker than I am

Would this be the place to advertise the grand opening of my new mtb rental business in Austria??

www.gravitibikehire.com

A company based in Austria with no company registration details on the site, strange. Still no indication as to what guiding qualifications you have. spellign speshally tailered  for the sight. Paypal! Go on Jamie do it properly. It looks like a great place to ride.

Thanks John. I'm still in the process of registering the business, so, no I dont have any company details on there at the moment. Something thats taking up most of my time.

You feel I should mention my OTC qualifications on the site? Guess it might be a good idea hey! Maybe I'll put a 'me' page on there. The main focus of the business is the rental aspect, but, providing I've actually got some free time to do it, I'll be doing a free basic bike skills course. I very much doubt I'll be able to run the 'ride away days' as I did last year, again due to time constraints...

What do you suggest instead of paypal??? I'd be interested to know what's out there as I've not much time to spend researching that. Lot's on my plate.... Is that what you meant by doing it properly???

I take it you've had a butchers at my site again - Notice any improvements? Any further  suggestions on how I can improve it? I take it you like the photo's at least!!

Spellnig?? hehe - I've had two people proof read the site, but we must be missing stuff - Is there loads of errors?? Can you point the one's you've spotted out to me please?

Thanks

Yup, put the OTC qualification on the site, it will reassure people.

Bank transfer is a safe way of paying over frontiers without incurring high bank charges; there will always be some costs though with pound/euro transactions. Geld uberweissen is very common in Germany and Austria, and there are people like me that won't use Paypal. Give customers your IBAN and SWIFT numbers and they can transfer money direct to your account.

Copy/paste the text for your site into Microsoft Word and run the spell checker on it. Check on the use of apostrophes and hyphens too as word won't show up errors in their use. Plurals don't need an apostrophe.

You could do with some photos of pretty XC trails on your site.

The biggest put off is this:

Of course, your travel arrangements are entirely up to you, so if you're thinking of a shorter or longer break, we can provide information on the best way to go about organising it. We could tell you about each and every hotel in Kaprun, but there are so many good ones we could fill our web site completely on just that

Accommodation is a very important part of their holiday to most people. if you can act as an agent for local hotels and guest houses in need of summer business you can provide a more complete package and make some commission into the bargain.

Hmm, good thinking Batman.... I like it &....... I think we've just had a civil conversation!! woohoo!

I totally agree with the whole Paypal situation. I'm not particularly a fan of it either. It is reputable and secure howevers so it will suffice for now. Plus I'm not too sure whether it would generate that much revenue anyway. Bookings (with UK tour operators) are massively down on previous summers, so this is why I'm trying to keep my outgoing costs down to a minimum, keep the risk as low as possible & then improve as and when I get the business up and running.

Thanks for pointing that bit out about  travel arrangements section - I could definately re-word it to sound a little bit more appealing. I like you're idea of promoting a complete package, although it's a bit of a grey area for me - This is something which would be treading on the toes of the company I'm working in conjunction with. Plus there's so much work I've put on myself already (sob sob) I need to stay focused on the rental business, get that up and running and then think about expanding...

I'll have a nose at what XC photo's I have and add some of them - Like you're suggestion as I think quite a lot of the action shots are DH focused..
