Haven't had a BM ride in a while, and I missed the Afan one, so who's up for it? Down south this time? Maybe Nick could do a tour of the Downs? or maybe Nobby could utilise the latest technology to lead us round and round in circles somewhere? End of May/early June? State your interest (whilst reserving the right to be wildly enthusiastic about the ride only to pull out a week before with a lame excuse )

What about Lord Greenvilles private estate, oop north.

Far be it from me to stop Coveman and Tim from coming if they so desire. The ride will be much less pleasant if they do though, for all concerned It's not actually that flat round here either, contrary to Northern beliefs.

South downs are they hilly ?
|

Sort of, the riding's better (IMO) around the Surrey Hills, South Downs is very 'old school' lots of wide open bridleways and such, no real singletrack, and no trees! The Surrey Hills is much more wooded fast twisty singletrack. I reckon on climbing around 1000ft for every 10 miles without looking for hills, so it's hilly enough.

South downs are they hilly ? Well south is down on the map, and down means there must be an up somewhere, possibly north of Bham.
