 1. Fantastic event - one of the best I've done, course excellent & well organised. 2. Great banter throughout - as luck would have it even bumped into a very tired Hungry Monkey on my last lap & had a laugh. Looked out for Hobo but never saw him. 3. How the hell did my old man (64yrs old) post a faster lap time than me? I'm never gonna live that one down - must think up some good excuses..... 10 under Moray here we come.

Agree with all of the above I even put my Bikemagic top on for 2 laps RBA. We managed to get a spot under the trees at the far end of the car park so we could get a 5 mins headsup when our riders went past to get ready. The heat was unbelievable. I really underestimated how long that first lap was.

I measured the first lap as 17.5miles Hobo - procession ~ 5.6miles! Not sure where they got the 10.3miles a lap from! Having done the puffer in Janaury I now think these events are more fun than the meridas. Would love to have done 10 under Kirroughtree but just get back from holiday the day before - don't think I'll get a pass.......! The old duffer did our second lap in 1.07 (& fastest recorded if you ignore the longer first one) - on reflection I'm sure he was taking his time when he came into the transition area to add more seconds to my time, will have to have a word with him.... Roll on Moray round.

 Are the photos up yet?
Couldn't see anything on no fuss site.

Yeah, just click on the properties of the photo and delete the gumph at the end. That gives you the site of the official photographers. Its not listed by number though

Really enjoyed the event in general- esp as it was my first.. hadn't trained much so was gubbed after my first lap but was an amzing day... Everything was enjoyable- but not the Sat night entertainment- a single snack bar selling expensive food and overpriced beers is not my idea of a good night..the band seemed okay but after spending the prev night halfway up Ben Nevis enjoying beers watching the sun go down we were forced to go into Fort Bill for a proper night out. Other than that the only other issue was the lack of a proper water supply at the campsite...

Hi Allan, i didnt manage to see any other BM riders. Shame You could have had a seat with us on Sat night. We had a eZ Up set in the trees and one of the guys cooked up a massive Rissoto which there was loads left. Other than the midges it was great. We even managed to sneak off back to our campsite and have a lovely hot shower before returning for the prize giving. Oh, i would recommend the Glen Nevis campsite. 2 mins away and excellent facilities.

Yeah, sorry Hobo, think I saw your red canopy in the distance but was so gubbed after my first lap I went back to my tent for a lie down to prepare for my second...quite lame actually and highlighted to me how far out of shape I am. Can't fault the event as a whole though- wish I could do the others but work and family commitments don't permit unfortunately!
