Hello to the forum.  I live in Colorado (US) and just purchased my first road bike.  The bike is a 1999 Trek 1200 and will be headed into the LBS for a tune up.  I am looking forward to the adventures that road biking presents and the fellowship among fellow cyclers. 

 I happend across this site while performing a road cycle search on Google and thought I would join the board.  I am eager to learn from those who are willing to share their insight and thoughts pertaining to road biking.  I hope to contribute in a positive manner to the site and to the road biking community.  Thanks to all in advance.

If you want to talk to fellow asphalt (over here it's known as tarmac) lovers then roadcycling.co.uk is the sister site of this one as bikemagic is primarily aimed at mountainbikers although most people who post on here secretly own a roadbike too. .
