Yes, I use a some software called DVD Profiler, Billy to keep track of my films.

It comes in handy when if I'm in the shops perusing a sale I can check the db on my phone to see if I already own a film.  It also comes in handy to keep track of what I lent and to whom - so if a film either goes missing or is damaged I know who had it last.

And finally, I can print out a catalogue of films so people can have a browse should we decide to watch something.

GWAR bloodbath and beyond! Genius.

However, that database malarkey really is quite nerdy!

dvd, cd and record collections can make up a hefty insurance claim if you have them stolen, though keeping a database is a bit anal taking  reference photos of your collections is a very good idea.

Yeah especially some of the rare vinyl etc

The missus is anal like that, I'm sure I could give her a spreadsheet and send her off on the way...She likes things like Alphabetic organising etc

One way to record what you have/own in music is to use Discogs. Useful site, and you can export everything as a xls if required.

Back to the original post.....I thought it was a pretty good film.  The Jew Hunter was particularly funny I thought.

Oh, and databases to keep track of stuff you own?  Beautifully geeky

I used to think it was a bit anal, until my mate got his entire CD collection nicked - nothing to tell the police/insurance/local 2nd shops.

Plus, you'd forgot half of what you own if you have a lot of stuff and you sadly lost it all.

Common sense really.

Yeah it is indeed a very good idea...But good god I'd hate to add up the cost of replacing my musical passions over the years!

Words after decent in your last post are, essentially superflous.

I shall take everything you say about films with a pinch of salt if you think that was a good film!

Funnily enough Billy...I have heard a lot of people use the words 'Pulp Fiction' and 'Best film ever' in the same sentence over the years.  In fact at the time my Pal and I agreed that it was quite simply the most amazing film we had ever seen.

Thinking about it now, I can't think of another that I have seen since that has had the same effect on me.

Talking of Barack Obama......its pretty clear he styled himself on Samuel L Jackson in PF.
