I'm going touring with the family and need a hardtail pronto. Always had my heart set on retro Orange Clockwork and thought it would make a good tourer. Clearly ebay is the way to go (unless anyone wants to sell me one here) so I want to get the sizing right. I'm 6'2 with a preference for largish bikes - riding a 20" Orange Five now - had an xl cannondale f500 before. What size should I be looking for? Also, does anybody suggest an aging P7 instead, or anything else for that matter? Must have braze ons for rear rack. Open to ideas. Any parts problems I'm likely to run into (not the most mechanically minded biker despite years of experience lol). Gutted that I skipped my old early 90's ridgeback - it would have coped perfectly!!Cheers

You want a frame with rack mounts, not sure the orange will meet your needs, I hate myself for saying it, but you want an adaptable mountain bike, an on one inbred might be the right machine for the job

I thought the orange had mounts - the p7 certainly does - I'd love an inbred but it can't cost a fortune

Looks gorgeous but the darn thing is too small for a lanky git such as myself

isn't the inbred like £150 frame and the clockwork a Ltd Edition £350 frame?

(prices wildly approximate)

The limited edition is the new incarnation - I was thinking early 90s model as there are lots about - just not sure what size. I need to buy a complete bike really (accepted I could buy a bike and an inbred frame separatly and then combine!)
