Hi,

 I've just this week fitted a pair of brand new Hayes Stroker Carbon brakes. I've put new Hayes rotors on too. 

 Everything seemed fine for the first 3 hours riding and then within 5 minutes of each other both my rear and front wheels starting juddering and vibrating (and making a lot of noise) under braking.

 Its as if the braking isn't even or something. I just can't work out why they both happened at the same time...

 Can anyone please help me by suggesting what might be causing the problem.

Pads worn out?

Warped discs?

Loose bolts?

Check all bolts are tight on rotor.

Take wheel out of brake caliper

Check both pistons are moving equally and consistantly by pulling lever (Not too much so you dont pop the piston out).

If they are moving equally then move pistons back into caliper using spreader or ring spanner on piston (Carefully)

Loosen the caliper bolts and try to centre the caliper as much as possible over rotor.  Take your time as its important.

Tighten caliper bolts up tight.

Pull lever to get bite point.  If its not enough then take wheel out and pull a little more and then refit the wheel.

If this doesnt solve it i suggest you do the dirtiest ride possible (You have already beeded the brakes in right .  I find mud is the best solution for noisy brakes there is.

Finally, i had hfx 9's and they all seem to make a noise from time to time, maybe its just your turn
