Probably Trevor.

I'd guess the tyre bead came off the rim allowing the tube to bulge out and explode. Sometimes the bead then drops back into the rim well so it's not obvious what happened.

Hmmm okay cheers, tyre was on the rim still and the tube wasnt overinflated its been in about a month too.................... is it common to pop off the rim its never happened to me before bit worried incase it does it again when im flying downhill at 30mph

I would say the cause of that was a pair of scissors and an underlying personality disorder.

You're crying out for attention by the means of an assumed calamity, calling for the help of strangers to give sympathy and reassurance. The slicing up of a tyre and the call to help is symptomatic of the desire to be noticed and cared for.

This could stem from an early incident in life your father pushed you off on your little trike pedalling faster and faster growing in confidence you look around to glimpse your fathers proud and beaming smile, as you look over your shoulder you see your fathers passionate embrace with your aunty his lips pressed against hers as he grabs tight of the small of her back. Shocked and confused your trike ploughs forth into a stationary car, severely cutting your leg and bruising your face. You lie there in pain crying out for help but your father is nowhere to be seen, it is a good ten minutes before he runs to your aid, too caught up in his adulterous passion he hadn't noticed you lying there prostrate bleeding and having wet yourself in anguish.

Earlier this year I had a rim collapse on the commuter - it went through the tyre wall and innertube liberating copious amounts of Slime all over me and a BMW 3 series! That made it all worthwhile.

I blame Nick Griffin, hes to blame for everything elser today.

Just the media blame him,i dont.

I had a similiar problem and the problem seemed to be with the tyre bead as JG suggests.

was the tube installed twisted?
I always slightly inflate mine before seating the tire on the rim.
