Hi guys

I was in Decalthlon yesterday looking at their bike computers and came accross the geonate keymaze 700 gps.  Being a bit of a gadget geek, I took an interest in it.  It allows the user to create routes on google earth and download it to the unit.  you can also upload a whole host of rider info back to the PC.

The only problem with the unit; it wasnt just for cycling, it was for any outdoor pusuit, so it was a watch.  I guess this gadget isnt something new to most of you guys on here.  Just wondered if anyone had any experience with one of these or a simular device?  And also if anyone can recommend alternatives?  I like the idea of it; especially that you can use google earth, but it is abit more pricey than a computer that I originally wanted.

Cheers guys

I believe the Ordnance Survey do a good range of reliable and accurate maps.

lol.  I like the look of the garmin edge, but it looks like you have to buy maps too.  I like the sound of the decathlon model as you can use google maps.  To be honest I dont need any really, I could get by with a regular bike comp.  I like my gadgets though

You can export as a gpx file from google maps and save that on the garmin. or use gpsbabel to convert pretty much any file format.

Same here.  I have a Garmin that does all manner of stuff but nowadays I use it to get the same info that a £20 computer can supply!
