I'm thinking of starting to do some trail riding at night in the Surrey Hills. Obviously I need a decent light but I don't want to spend £150+ on a light if it is aflash in the pan! Any recommendations on a good starter light? Is such a thing available for £50?

See THIS THREAD about the fabtabulous Deal Extreme bike lights for £50.

They take a week or two to be delivered but for the money they blow everything else out of the water....

Search " DX, Deal Extreme or Bastid" on Singeltrackworld forum and you'll find loads more threads about the deal extreme lights.

I suspect that deal extreme is an "insert wit here" venture, and that Dan is in collusion with him to part the rest of us from our hard earned money (or in my case, my quite easily earned).

should i now be the person who can say he started the whole deal extreme thing.

it was me who told dylan about the website 4 years ago, and he then told everyone else about all those tourches that you could use.
