Looking for a new front light to add to current cateye EL320. I would like something rechargeable but this is not a deal breaker. It will mainly be for commuting but it would be nice if it could handle off road stuff should the need arise. I know 60 quid wont get me much light but I am sure its do-able. Merlin have a sale on this week so one's I have looked at are cateye single shot or EL530 or Electron 5 +10w system. Anyone recommend one of these or anything else for that matter. electron i am not so keen on as it may be too bright to have both on so it seems a bit silly to only ever use the one of them. Hope Vision 1 is ok but a bit pricey, may stretch too it if it really is the bees knees.

Get on ebay and buy some 3watt LED, and driver boards.

Along with a couple of Wiifit rechargeable batteries and a 40mm plumbing connector you ahve a 9watt led rechargeable light for way less than £60.

Check out instructables.com for designs.

Does that airbike torch on planet x have a flash mode? I do like the look of the one on deal extreme, anyone had any experience of buying one of these (in terms of shipping and reliability of the site)

can take a while for delivery with dea; extreame. plus they are in hong kong, if there is a problem or the order is delayed through stock problems then it can take months, i waited 2 months for a p7 LED. if i was looking for what you want i would go plante x, much easier if there is a problem, you can always send them an email to find out about the modes available on that light.
