What would you recommend for a good strong, keep ones feet warm and dry overshoe for a big trainer? Are zip backs a hassle? Are velcro backs the way of the future?Something with hi-viz would be good to.Thaaaanks.

Pair of sock and then a plastic bag over each foot, then another pair of socks.

Just got some of these , which seem to work with most shoe styles.

I've both a Gore overshoe and Altura, both with abrasion resistant soles.

Bollox they abraid just by walking a couple of strides to get on your bike.

I'd look for something with a very good rubberised sole.

Quinny, I have about three pairs of overshoes, lying around, hardly used. I have some of those alturas with reflective piping.

PM me if you're interested, I will let them go for a a fistful of dollars.

The Endura MTB ones work well, kept me dry and warm today.

Although winter boots would be better.

What sort of shoes have you got?  I've got Specialized Taho shoes and have given up trying to find overshoes that will fit over them.  I've tried DHB, Altura and something else of Wiggle and none of them fitted.

I used Specialized Taho shoes for years and the toe of the overshoe constantly lifted off. Even large quantities of gaffa tape would only keep it in place for an hour or two. Last year i switched to Shimano shoes and the Endura MT500s fit perfectly with no annoying 'toe lift'.

Trainer type shoes and overshoes just don't mix well IME
