i wouldnt get one, cos spares for them are right scarce at the moment, plus i dont know if the warranty will be honoured as gt/schwinn have gone bankrupt
news is that they have a new buyer

They have been bought, but there seem to be few friends of the iDrive here. General comments seem to be that they ride well, but are overweight and a little fragile. Bearings and bushes seem to wear out too quick, and spares were hard to get even when they were in 'normal' business.

Having said that, if you'll take a chance then you should get a really good bargain.

with comments like "the parts and accessories division has been dropped and the lines will in future feature fewer models and be centred below the $500 mark", i think it best to avod buying high end models as who knows what will happen to the I-drive parts in a the long term?
