According to the ad,they're a substantial saving over easton.Anyone goy any experience with them?

so they've even LESS carbon in them than the Easton ones.

Without wanting to suggest anything, who would you reckon has more experience and expertise in the field of carbon fibre manipulation. An ex-roadie from Liverpool or a huge US sporting goods manufacturer?

I don't know, who has more experience in bike manufacture, a major US manufacturer,or an ex-journalist from Yorkshire?
a case of the pot calling the kettle black?

Ouch... :)

if their handlebars are anything like their wheel building and mail order delivery:-

you'll get told a load of bull, excuses will be made, you'll wait weeks for delivery and when they arrive it won't be what you ordered, and they'll collapse on the first ride....

> ... and when they arrive it won't be what you ordered...

... and when you send them back they'll refuse to accept delivery and get the post office to charge you to redeliver the wrong item.

Excuse the backwards thinking, but in my opinion carbon fibre bars are scary enough without coming from somewhere dodgy.

So that's nobody who's tried them then?

So it's not just me who has had problems with 'Dave Hinde', I'll never buy from them again, I drove 160 miles to find that the order that was waiting for me (because they had still not sent it after 3 weeks) was missing a vital part. Then they refuse to give me my money back for postage.Lies & bad service is all you get from them, no matter how cheap the parts - it's not worth it!

*STOP PRESS* Have met 'one' person who is happy with his wheels built by Dave Hinde.Must admit that he rides like a poof and they are only a month old.Give it another two weeks........

"Carbon bars are scary enough".

Easton CT2 bars last longer (and are stronger) than the aluminium ones.

But there are three: the SL (super-light), the XC, and the DH. But the DH weighs only 260 grams.

Oh, and Dave Hinde Carbon Risers probably have aluminium inserts. They probably fail miserably after 2 months... ...my teeth hurt already.

dave hinde cycles are c*nts and I take pleasure in warning my cycling friends to shop elsewhere
Well from YEARS back, I've had 2 pairs of DH wheels, which have been great - and I got good service. I assume they have changed over time! I have allwats assumed that since they've maintained their presence in the road world (which was where I knew them from and why I bought MTB wheels from them) that they were still sound.

Looks like I'll need to loom elsewehere fro my new wheels - any suggestions? I know I should get them from my LBS, but my nearest decent LBS is Bromley Bikes, who, shall we say, know how to charge, and will also no doubt FORCE me to have Sun rims on Chris King hubs, for which my life will be duly forfeit!
