type) show some Mountain Bike scenes. So
far i can think about Color of the Night
with B.Willis and to a certain extent
ET of SPielberg. Anything else?

 I think you'll find in ET it was BMX's they were on and that takes us to a whole different category altogether !

 Chain spotting, mud cows. at the cinema none good but if you wait a couple of hours I can tell you of a french film I saw at home about this french (never) postie who sees this film of how they deliver them fast and he tries to go fast it sounds a load of b0ll0k$ but it is funny. tell you when I get home and ask my dad

 Hmm those well-known cinema blockbusters Mud Cows and Chainspotting. On a more realistic note, 101 Dalmatians (Steve Geall doing some stunt riding there, mind you it might have been a hybrid rather than a MTB). There was some cycling in The Karate Kid too I think.

 Slightly off the chosen topic - MI2 featured Tom Cruise doing some free-climbing in Utah, as the managers of the National Park wouldn't allow them to go ahead with the planned Mountain Biking scenes as he feared an invasion of people wanting to do it. Understandable. My mate went there and having seen his photos I am very very tempted.

 Quality 80's film Inner space starring Dennis quaid as the teeny tiny aquanaut going into Martin Short had the Scientist escaping on a bike, it was more of a ladies shopper bike though I think.

 Enemy of the State had Jason Lee's character try to escape from the baddies on a mountain bike and eventually gets crushed by a truck.
Independence Day had Jeff Goldblum on a rockshox judy equipped bike in one scene.

 theres some film starring one of the blokes that once played james bond. I think there is an MTB scene where they ride of Angel falls - the highest waterfall in the world in Venezuala (?)
Its called Fire and Ice or something along those lines. Probably made about 10 years ago...

 It's not a movie, but in the episode of Friends where Joey finds the keys to a Porsche and keeps pretending it's his...he's stood outside a bike shop with a Cannondale in the window. Does that count?

 There was that dodgy Yank police series on Channel 5 (yes - somebody does watch it) where the police rode Schwinn Sweet Spot full sussers!!!
The highlight of the series was a chase sequence where the bad guy was riding a Foes.
Can't remember what it was called (something like Miami Blue - or was that a porn movie...) but it was everso exciting.
