I'll do my very bestist, but as ever, I'm sure circustances will conspire against my plans.

Can't make tonight (Thursdays are usually no good for me) but will show up as soon as I can! Have a good one.

One look out da window, and I am thinking "no bloody way".
You crazy fools.
Looking out the window I see patches of blue sky, no rain, what's the problem?
 indeed, what's da problem?
once it gets to the skin it just rolls off doesn't it? Anyway, those "torches" are too expensive to put in the cupboard and forget about, and i'm looking forward to those chips i was promised last week...
Another awesome night ride, a tad slippy in places, but that just added to the fun.
BTW Fair Weather Fiends, it was clear sky most of the way with just a little drizzle in places...perfect.
Jon, enjoy Spain next week (I don't think you need me to say that).
 hehe.
I confess. I am a wuss. I promise to ride harder and get even wetter this weekend in an effort to make amends.
Where did you go? I was looking out of the window last night, wishing I could be out on the bike.
up to Hollins Cross, down to the road, along a bit then up to Jaggers Clough, up to the crossroads at the top then turn right along to Top Plantation then drop into Hope, Castleton and back up the broken road to the cars. Then chips...mmm nice.
Did you go the short way down to Jaggers CLough or did you go via Edale?
Jane';s doing the reverse route at the weekend, dropping from Hollins Cross into Castleton - never ridden it but walked it a couple of weeks ago and it looks reallky nice, any experience?
I think we did the short way because we didn't really go near Edale. As you hit the road after dropping down from Hollins Cross, you almost immediately go under a railway bridge and then past the YHA shortly after.
I wouldn't fancy the route in reverse though, especially the bit from Aston up to Top Plantation. The streams are busting and some of the puddles have been earmarked by sailing clubs as new venues.

In-joke. last time I went out with Rich to do that one I took the wrong path from Hollins Cross and was halfway to Edale before he and Jon caught me to point out where I'd gone wrong :o(
Easily done NBT I guess. I never have that trouble as I am never in front!
anyone up for Thursday, Whalley Bridge - Buxton route?
Not this year. Have to hope Santa brings me some lumicycles :o(
Wednesday would be better for me.
NBT, did the garage eat your old lights?
