Yesterday evening I was in the LBS and I compared the WTB Rocket V saddle to the Flite and I think that the WTB might be narrower than the flite so I have now changed my mind and I now want to go for a flite (I had one before on my road bike and it suited me then) but I can't make up my mind on a flite genuine gel model or a flite genuine gel XP. Does anyone have any ideas which one may be more suitable for XC use?
I'd always say go for Ti rails if possible, they make SUCH a difference (especially on a hartail) and the Transam with the cut out middle looks (and feels) a bit strange to start with but once you get out on a ride you realise that youre only putting weight where youre designed to take it !
I did prefer the flite compared to the WTB but am not sure which flite to get. Is that really true about the Xp meaning extra padding. Is there a huge weight difference between the flite gel and the XP gel?
I had a Titanium flite on my road bike and it seemed comfortable!! I also fitted it to my mountainbike bike but found it a little hard, if your have a Full suspension bike i guess you'd be okay.
I fitted the Flite Genuine Gel and find it a perfect match to my MTB, its the same shape as the Flite but just a little bit more comfortable and not too heavy.
