Bought some used sids and treated them to a Tim Fluke tune up. (Lovely job and great service). Took them to the London Cycle Centre to have them fitted and the buggers cut the steerer way too short. I have yet to find out the outcome but they did suggest that they hadn't cut them down even when they obviously had.Does anybody know what comeback i have on this.
if you can reliably prove that the steerer has bee shortened and im guessing you can? the least that they can do is admit they are wrong and replace the tube failing that they should be replacing the fork!
if you had them serviced at TF then they might be able to give you some reliable proof?
speak to your local citizens advice bureau (yellow pages) they could give you some helpful advice. trading standards are one that you could try but they probably won't want to know!
