Anyone doing the first round of the Merida 100 in Rhayader?
should be - will probably be the only one I will get to this year. Followed by the marin the w/e after, followed by the ycca c2cin a day(130 ml road ride) the week after that. lets hope the weather is kind eh!! g
 Hoping to, yep :)
Will be my first 100km event, can't wait. Assuming I'm recovered from CLIC24 that is!
What sort of bike have you got?
doing that one too. I wonder how many people are doing the merida/marin combo, i am. Got myself a jekyll for this but now wondering if it isn't too much travel, oh well.
"What sort of bike have you got?"
Me? Cotic Soul. Why?
I'm doing it and I'm not telling Peter Cole what sort of bike I've got. If you expect to identify me by my mud splattered steed you are sorely mistaken.
Maybe Petes a bike thief pre-planning his plunder from the campsite on Saturday night, keep your eyes peeled for a giant swag bag!
Can't wait for the Meridas to come round, I'm doing all 4 this year, oh crap better get training then!!
See ya'll there.
which one don't you fancy your chances in - austria or scotland?
Im not a bike thief and I dont do campsites lol. Anyway if I was going to nick a bike it would be something worth my while, not a bloody cannondale or a cotic!!
 what's your number?*
*this might make you a marked man :-)
Number ah! better get entry sent off g
Doing all four uk rounds.Whats wrong with a cotic, can't you aford one.?
 Well said, cheers Martin!
;-)
 lol
to those who did it last year:
Can I ask what the terrain is like? I've entered the 50K and this is the first of this sort of thing I've ever done.
Is there much tarmac? Is it 50km of technical twisty 'climb and crash' or 50k of fire roads and forest trails?
(not nervous at all - can you tell?)
It is good, a few muddy bits and a few roads, but good fun altogether
I might be there, it's on the bank holiday weekend isn't it? which is a shame.
