But can't be bothered to think of a topic. Any suggestions we can pursue?

IS it possible to have suitable fun riding on one hardtail XC MTB, or is it necessary to own a downhill rig, Single speed, Jump bike, Full suss XC, Full suss free ride, Enduro bike, etc, etc?
Discuss.....

can a fat person scratch their own arse?

Hey, the other day some fat bird in a knackered Astra pulled out in front of me. Infact she pulled out so late I had no choice but to go down the side of her car, and because there was oncoming traffic accelerate and overtake her.
She did not like it.
She liked it even less when replying to her verbal assault, I mentioned that she obviously treated everyone else with the same contempt in which she obviously treated her own body!
Fat slapper.

hello my friends, what am I like I start off a discussion then bugger off for the morning
I like the fat people idea but I also like the hardtail XC concept (I'm in just this position , upgrade my Kona hardtail or buy another bike with full suss)
any way to combine these two topics?
|
 |
Are fat people better served by owning a full suss machine, or by a well made Hardtail bike?

Watched that episode of the simpsons the other day where Homer discovers if he puts on 68lb's he can be classed as having a disability and so work from home! Absolute class!

 LOL @ OBM's insult.
i'll have to remember that.
on the subject of bikes, it depends.
if you're serious about one form of riding, you need a bike which is suited to that style and no others.
that is why my good bike is a full on XC machine, and i have a play bike when i fel the need to ride off stuff.
LOTS of bikes? that's just overkill.
|
 |
"you need a bike which is suited to that style and no others."
sorry, i mean stuited to no other forms of riding... not 'no other bikes'
: )
|
 |
but to answer your original question properly
"IS it possible to have suitable fun riding on one hardtail XC MTB"
yes, of course it is!
|
 |
Interesting question - setting the right sag could be difficult.
I see that the government is looking into the idea of Fast Food companies contributing to sporting venues and events etc. in an effort to reduce obessity.
Does that mean that one day we could be buying MacDonalds branded bikes? Kentucky Fried Titanium Rigs? Double Whopper Downhill Bikes?
|
 |
the super fat homer episode is one of the best!!
I once saw a girl who was so fat that her legs were hanging over the tops of her knee high boots, I nearly hurled.
and why do fat girls wear leggings?!
I personally think two bikes is a luxury, I can do pretty much everything I need to do on my hardtail and my own ass is big enough to soak up most of the bumps.
|
 |
We should combine all the topics into one...
Can fat immigrant MEPs scratch their arses whilst riding just one XC bike, despite the menace of speed cameras?
|
 |
this is the bit in Scanners when your head explodes!!
|
 |
2 or 3 bikes is enough (depending)
proper bike (specially for your disipline) other bike (something a bit more hardcore if you're a jayboy, something a bit more XC if you're a DHer
roadie, if you must, for fitness
