Im a brit living in Whistler for four years now, and loving every minute of it.
I want to set up a chalet that specialises in biking packages but cant figure if im just dreaming that mtb riders will spend money on coming all the way over here for a holiday, price would be around 1000 pounds for ten days including flights.
What do you all think?

it's sometning i would think of.
as long as there were decent trails to burn.
for a grand thats a bit xpensive, as you've got to pay carriage for the bike, insurance etc.
stevie baby.

A grand would be including meals, and bike carriage, and guide for both xc and downhill riding going out daily, the riding both xc and downhill is pretty impressive, the local bike culture is more so

that's what my lot are paying with bushpilotbiking in 11 days time :O)))))

I was in Whistler last year with family for a few days. I hired an Enduro and went out with a guide twice, and had an absolutely fantastic time.

The trails are stunning, nothing like what we have over here. I'd be back over tomorrow if I could! Also, in the town itself every 2nd shop is mtb, ski or otherwise sport related- I thought I was in heaven.

I think having to take your own bike may put a lot of people (with less impressive bikes like mine) off, so if you could arrange a deal with a local shop to hire a good one, perhaps with the option to buy, you'd be onto a winner.

Good luck with it anyway!

get a good deal for hiring... pick me up at the airport, ensure the food is top (or get real recommendations with discounts) and i WILL be there next year...

as will many others i am sure.

i ride with endlessride in france for the first time next month... great personal touch via email, i am assured they deliver as much and more.. you do the same and we'll take advantage of the exchange rate and come over to canada...

i think of you have the start up capital you will be on to a winner here!!!

thanks for the feedback guys, I have eight years experiance in ski chalets so plan on doing better than what ive learnt from them!!
the price for renting a banshee scream or chaperal (nice machines) would be around $90 per day, thats about 40 pounds. does that seem too expensive? not sure if I should try and put together a rental fleet myself.

£40 a day with service contract (so the bike is workable every day) would be fine for me...

good luck

I think the quote is. "if you build it they will come!"

Go ahead and enjoy!
