sintered pads contain fragments of copper so they last a lot longer than resin pads, there is a slight loss of braking power but you shouldnt notice.using resin pads on my old deore brakes in winter conditions they would last five to six weeks max.changed to sintered, at least doubled the life span.after trying many different makes, i and my mates found that fibrax sintered performed the best, and they are made in the uk.
I tried Clarks at both ends of my bike. Pads on the back have lasted 6 months now. The ones onb the front lasted 40 miles, I can only assume poor quality control. Bought Fibrax next, working great so far
:o) Fibrax pads should arrive tomorrow. I'm pretty sure they'll be loads better. At the mo my front doesn't seem as powerful as the rears so maybe the pads are shagged or something.
