I know the shell size is 68mm, but I also need the width too.

I know that this will depend on setup due to correct chain line etc, so here is the set-up I'll be transfering:

Race-face Turbine cranks
Race-face 38t DH ring
DMR Speedguide Elite (The beefy thick CNC one)
9 speed block at the back.
I'm not sure if this info will help, but I figured that it might.

So my options are 113mm, 113mm E-type, 118mm

The E-Type bbs are for bb mounted front mechs aren't they?

So I guess that allows for the width of the chain device behind the cup.

Yep, E-type allows for the chain device plate without pushing the whole thing over to the drive side.
