I'm thinking of going on a supported tour in the Himalaya later on in the year - it will involve about 1,000 km, with maybe 75% on road, the rest divided between jeep track and singletrack.
Any recommendations for tyres? I'm looking for a semi-slick capable of high pressure for the road, but also reasonably grippy for (probably dry) trails. And they've gotta be tough, I'm not bringing spares.
Btw, i've used the awesome Schwalbe Marathon XR in similar conditions in the past, while carrying loads - I'm looking for something lighter and faster as this trip is supported.
Maxxis do a semi slick version of their popular high rollers. I would imagine they would have good puncture protection although not sure about low weight or rolling resistance.
