Can you return the shine to old dull Alu frames?

My old Pace Is looking a bit dull, the road salt seems to have taken its toll. Is there a way to make it shine line new again

i find silvo or brasso a duster and a bit of hard work does wonders on alloy if the frame is pitted very fine wet and dry to rub it out then car rubbing compound then Brasso Providing of course it isnt laqured (spl)

PS test in a small inconspicuous area first ;-)
