well according to the blurb john it says:
"Designed for : intensive all-terrain cycling."

but also says:
"Restriction in use : not designed for mountain biking."

A bit of a contradiction there.

It epitomises the Decathlon art of building bikes that look good on paper and in the shop but turn out to be heavy and inefficient.

Its a commuter bike. That's why it isn't 'designed for mountain biking'. Although they are ugly, they do look pretty solid when you see one close up. CyclingPlus gave them a good review.

Haven't they always been £300?
