Has any one tried one of these lights?

it uses a 3 Watt luxeon star led which is the same as the exposure joystick but they cost £165 as opposed to the tenner for this one!

I’m thinking about trying one but the seller has a lot of negative and natural feedback so I have a gut feeling it may not turn up! But I guess it’s worth a go for a tenner.

I have just bought two of these and they are amazing:

Use in conjunction with this:

The torch uses one AA battery and is brighter than my Ring 1w Luxeon head torch.
It also weighs bugger all and looks like something came straight out of an arms research station!
I also ordered one of these:

Which is great for freaking the cat out!

How do you know what the nature of the feedback is?

The seller has chosen to make those valueable details private.

Call me cynical, but I'd stay clear.

A tenner is a tenner, why should it end up in someone else's pocket?

thats what i felt too, i have mailed the seller to ask about the feedback and the reply was if faulty he would replace but did not mention about failed deliverys, but in a rash monent i have ordered one, so here goes, i will reprot back about how i get on with it.

I just ordered a 5 LED light for the bike as my current 1 doesn't seem very bright, I was wondering if any of you have a 5 LED light and if they are ok?
there is a saying that if it seems to good to be true is proably is. That is far to cheep to be possible, if you've got a spare tenner, I'll have it :)

"how good is the beam form the 1W fenix light?"

Maybe take a look at the comparison tests in the reviews linked within that website.

Goff, my mate uses a 9 LED Electron and
while it's about the same brightness as my
3 LED, his offers a greater flood than mine.

If that's of any help.

Confused...

Is that good or bad?

EDIT: Ahhh, I see what you mean, more light is given off with more LEDs but brightness is not much difference. I think that makes sense?

Yea, the brightness would be greater but as
the light diffused to provide a wider flood
it gives the impression of being similarly bright.

If that makes sense.

So being able to offer a view on how a 5 LED will
perform depends on the optics, the LED's used and any possible
orientation of the LEDs.

There's the item, take a look for yourself and tell me what ya think!

Yes that seems quite a bargain, though it looks like
the beam will be orientated toward spot than flood.

It also looks like a copy of a Smart LED unit I have.

I hate long links. ;-)

Ok thanks. Looked ok to me so I decided to buy, I don't think the light I had will be as good as it (it's a krypton light) as it's not very bright. Hopefully, this light will be an improvement and the seller also looks genuine, and I feel safer sending money to places within the UK, rather than Hong Kong...

-----------

IS that a good point or a bad point now? :P

Yea, agree with buying from someone in the UK.

It should be brighter than the Krypto, both my LED units were an
improvement over my old small Cateye halogen.

My Smart unit was the first LED I bought and is still going strong,
it still gets taped to my crash hat sometimes. :-)

Ok, good good. So how well would you rate them out of 10, of course considering value for moeny? ;)

For the improvement battery consumption alone I'd rate them highly.

was after a real world review, the test screns just show a white blob! or how bright it is but how far does the beam go?

most led's are very bright but fail in the throw of light.

i've got a pezel head tourch which has 3 led's and gives about 5 meters of throw, i asumed the new 1,3 and 5 watt super leds are much better?
