I have been trying to order a set of Easton CNT XC Lo Riser bars in 31.8mm for a few weeks now from Wiggle but they are still out of stock.
I have been told that Evanscycles have some in stock but looking at the website they are not called 'XC' but are called 'Monkeylite'.

I cannot seem to post a direct link to the bars on Wiggle but they state they are 'Easton CNT Riser XC 31.8'. Are these two definitely the same product?

on the CRC website, you can see a pic of the the CNT bars and they have Monkeylite written on them

Just had a look at CRC and not only do they seem to be in stock, they're also £10 cheaper than Wiggle!

One other thing for those of you using carbon bars, is it recommended to use bar end plugs (my grips cover the open end of the bars anyway so crap cannot get in) to make the carbon less prone to cracking, etc?
Also before clamping them in the stem is it recommended to coat bars/stem clamp in anything (presumably not grease because of the carbon)?

u dont have to coat the stem/clamp with anything and also it is not required u use bar end plugs.

*Edit: Check the stem clamp for any burs or rough edges that may gouge into the carbon. Thats one thing that could cause stress risers. Also follow the instructions on the right place to clamp your controls.
