Anyone know anything much about this bike, looks like a reasonably specced budget full susser....Would appreciate any advice as am thinking of getting one for light off roading and mostly XC....

For that kind of price you'd be much better going for a hardtail. for "light off roading", you don't need full sus, you can get a muchbetter specced hardtail, with a decent frame that you can upgrade tha components on as you need to.

Fair point Alex and I was planning on getting a Kona Fire Mountain instead...only thing is have seen this in a local bike shop for a £125 cheaper than the evans price...it just seems to good a price considering it was originally 599....

If you avoid the big brands you can find some great bikes, like here, these are really great specced bikes for the money

Nice looking FS Bike to get you started for the money, just upgrade it over time, similar rear Suss system to bikes costing 5times the price.

Looks suspect I reckon. Most full suss frames start at £600 alone - and with good reason. You could get a great hardtail for that kinda money.
I wouldn't risk spending much less than a grand on a complete full susser.

Still, thats just my opinion!
