After a new seatpost, stem and flat bar. Which of the above would you go for from the 2006 ranges, Easton EA50 or RaceFace Evlove?
They are similar costs but which is better?

Which Evolve the DH or XC?

I have the Evolve XC on my full susser and the EA70 on my hardtail. The Evolve looks a lot nicer but it's heavier. Also, the threads stripped when I first mounted it (used a torque wrench). Race Face's importer said they wouldn't honour the warranty for stripped threads but they (Silverfish) re-tapped the stem and supllied longer bolts. It's been fine since. Top marks to Silverfish, no marks to Race Face.

Save your pennies and get the EA70. An EC90 CNT flat bar goes perfectly with it (99g and stronger than alloy bars).

I had ea50 on my maxlight. It worked perfectly. Only problem was the seat post looked very scruffy, very quickly. It doesnt take kindly to putting the saddle up & down or saddle bags rubbing it.

My three year of EA70 is vertually silver/grey now due to loss of anodising

The race face looks nice but at the price the Easton looks a better bet

Save a little longer and buy a Thomson, tougher, looks better and is simply the best.
