Hi, just seen a Picture of the Whyte PRST4 2005 model ...can anyone give me any info on this buke, I checked the Whyte site and it looks like a discontinued model, its a rather radical design although only because it goes agaisnt the norm.....what is it like to ride??? how heavy is it?? many thanks
I used to have one but I sold it last year. Fantastic bikes chap. They ride really well once you get use to slow steering. They'll vary in weight depending on what the spec is. Mine was about 26lbs, but it was mucho money to build
I love mine! They've been replaced now, more's the pity. I've done about 2000ish miles on it and it just keeps on going... Certainly an unusual-looking bike but it rides like a dream. Climbs as well as it descends & handles like it's on rails once you get the right pressure in the front shock.
The distributor still have some PRST4's left at a decent disocunt.
My riding buddy got one earlier this year and he absolutely loves it. There's no noises whatsoever coming from his at the moment although he has replaced the spherical bearing once or twice (under warranty).
His is the works version so is completely XTR equipped and extremely lightweight.
The design was dropped as they felt they had taken the idea as far as they could and had sold probably as many as they were going to due to the unusual design it will only appeal to some people.
