I'm in the market for a new pair of shoes, currently using Northwave with Crank bros cleats. The Northwave have lasted well but the tongue always disappears round yond side of your feet, very annoying.
Wiggle have some very good offers on at the minute too, i'm considering the Pearl Izumi vortex or those cannondale ones.

i like specialised ones.
i was not impressed with my shimano ones.

I use Specialized Taho, good comfort and performance, ok for walking too.

Specialized 'MTB Sport' - at the cheap end of the range. I like 'em. Seem really stiff and are nice and wide for my manly feet.

If you've got dainty ballet dancer feet, Karlos you could get away with Shimano jobbies, and I'm sure no-one here will laugh at you.

I don't want to buy into the specialized empire though :-/

A lightweight shoe is preferable but with good grip for walking.

Well don't be upset, in some brands I'm just a size 10 :-)

Shimano tend to be winkle pickers-too pointed so I wear Specialized BG shoes.They're really comfy and have plenty of room round the toes.

Spesh haven't overtaken SIDI in the shoe market for nothing, They make darn good shoes! I've had the TOTR shoe form Shimano and it only lasted a season. I now have the carbon soled racing shoe from Spesh and they are really comfy when you're on the bike though walking long distances in them I wouldn't reccomend and I also take a size 11.

spesh for me too, sawpit boots, pretty good if you can still get a pair.

Sorry Karlos but I've also got Spesh BG Comps and they're great. Not too good for extended walking sections but if you do a fair bit of scrambling with the bike then they still (I think) do the Rockhopper which is more casual with a rubber outsole but still a good shoe (I've some of them too).

My winter boots are Shimano. They're too narrow at the toes and not as well made as the Spesh shoes. Plus the sole is arse for a 'winter' boot.

No, its just the way I'm sat.

I got Shimano ones for £15 down from £50

They work nicely,thought they'd be too narrow,but just right for my wide feet.

There 48's (12) which is what I am normally in trainers etc and fit like a glove.

Comfy too ok for walking and have that trail running shoe style. not all that light though,dont let water through though!

Specialized BG carbon as you saw the otherday, I had the Northwave Stealth before that and they fell apart.
Get the Comps they are good value and they do grip a lot better than the Northwave on rock.
