Any you guys konow of any front mudguards that will fit into the threaded hole in the botton of the crown of a RS Pike fork? I cant seem to find any info on it.
You can fit a Topeak Defender, the bolt is either M5 or M6, can't remember which, it's the same as a brake caliper mounting bolt from memory, anyway it's a very standard size. Just chuck away the expander plug bit on the mounting bracket, space it with a washer or two to allow for the dish on the underside of the fork crown and there you are. It's not a particularly good mudguard though...
You can also fit one of the The mudguards, I'm told, but the advantage of the Topeak one is that it's quickly removable for transportation, though it rattles around like a set of rabid dentures.
13.5 do a search on the word Pike or The and you will see a whole long thread I started on this very subject - btw I cannot remember whether it was 5mm or 6mm but the search will tell you all you need to know
I tried that with my defender and found that the bracket was not long engouth to clear the underside of the crown and it did not sit flush. This made the guard point down and It kept buzzing against the wheel at full travel
