May be worth looking at the wear on chain and cassette while you're having an overhaul - it would be a shame to have the spangly new shifters spoilt by other bits!
And you'll be accidentally changing gear on every bumpy descent! Used SRAM for the first time on the 2412, every time I hit some fun stuff and went to adjust my grip I was knocking the shifter and firing through 3 or 4 gears, a tad frustrating
I use X.0 Grip Shift on my race bike and I think it's awesome, I've never shifted accidentally. I have X.0 triggers on my Titus, and I constantly knock those by accident. However they do shift better, so it's swings and roundabouts!
I do knock the smaller paddle on SRAM shifters, but tbh its a small price to pay for being able to make a full compliment of shifts with the brakes fully covered. I hated my shimano shifter in the Alps, I wanted to be holding onto something whilst I was shifting!!!
